Jacquelyne Quinn Estrada

Jacquelyne Quinn Estrada (She/They) is a Hispanic transgender/queer Scenic Designer based out of the Southern California area. She was inspired into the theatrical arts in her early teens by the classic Disney theme park attraction "The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror." Throughout their teenage years they studied theme park and themed entertainment design independently.

A high school dropout, Jacquelyne worked towards attaining her GED and in 2011, she started at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga. She initially majored in Art but transferred into Theatrical Arts in 2012 to pursue ambitions of becoming a Scenic Designer. During their time there they picked up many skills in theater and experimented with different roles including stage management and scenic carpentry. During this time, Jacquelyne also acquired a job at a local dinner theater as a lead spotlight operator and stagehand.

In September of 2017, Jacquelyne started at California Polytechnic University Pomona in Theatre with an emphasis on Technical Theater and Design. In May of 2019 she graduated Summa Cum Laude and had the distinction of being the Department of Theatre and New Dance's "Outstanding Senior."

In 2021, Jacquelyne had the privilege to be accepted into the University of California Irvine's Graduate Scenic Program where she spent three years working towards and attaining her MFA in Drama.

In the fall of 2024, Jacquelyne was brought on as an Assistant Professor at Whittier College for the 2024-2025 calendar year. At Whittier College she taught theater technology and design classes as well as designed the sets for their mainstage productions until the position was dissolved in 2025.
